Major bug/mosquito problems in yard?

I just moved to the country and I have an acre of grass for a lawn with 10 or so trees and we our having a major mosquito problem I've sprayed a few time fogged bug zapper candles repelants some of them our big and yellow white striped they can bite you threw your clothes I've even found them biting my dog threw her fur any advise would help or sprays or anything ANYTHING?
