My Video chat on my PS3 isnt working.?

I want to video chat with my boyfriend but the damn thing isn't working. We don't know what the problem is. It says the internet connection is perfect, I even used a cord to plug the wireless router to the ps3. Everything else works on my ps3 except the video chat. It last for about a min then it will cut me off and it will say "You have been signed out of the playstation network" or something like that. Im thinking maybe its the PS3, because my internet is fine. I just don't know.
