My iPod touch won't connect to my Wi-Fi?

I have the iPod touch before the most recent one. Not even sure which gen it is. I've had it for ages and it worked great with my wi-fi all around my house. I came home one day and it didn't connect so I used the password for my router and it says it's connected. But there's not even the symbol in the left corner showing there's a connection and it's just not working. There's nothing wrong with my router since my internet on my phone, two household computers and two laptops is working fine!
