Picking out the right wireless router with my internet speed Help?

Hi my internet service provider grants speeds up to 15 mbps for my house. However thats the commercial sales puffery. Just did a speed test and i'm getting about 9Mbps. Do i need a wireless n or g router and adapter? which would compliment my speed for its full potential? What brand do your recommend?
