I keep getting error 209600 on my Wii every time I try to access the Wii Shop Channel?

This never happened before. I tried unplugging the router many times and it still hasn't worked. There are times when I do access the shop channel but it doesnt last long and goes back to the error. It takes long to establish the connection when the channel starts loading and keeps going to the error. I dont know what to do. Please help. Thank you.
